Fundamentals Course


At CrossFit IronBorn, we recognize that everyone comes into the gym at different ability levels and with different goals. Our Fundamentals program is based on two core principles:

  • One-on-one instruction is the only environment in which new clients should learn the varied movements of CrossFit.
  • Our comprehensive core curriculum is tailored to clients’ individual needs to ensure successful conversion (transitioning from fundamentals to group classes and staying a member long-term).

Our focus is not to just get bodies on a workout floor but rather, to make sure that those who come in are properly trained and prepared every step of the way to ensure that they are ready for group classes, make continual progress, and continue to thrive long after their last fundamentals class.

We want to help make you fit for life not just for the next three months. No one gets lost in the shuffle here.

What to Expect

You will have 10-15 one-on-one sessions with a coach, scheduled individually. Each session a coach will teach and demonstrate the foundational movements we use in CrossFit, as well as review range of motion and various scales to get you moving safely. Following the instruction portion of the session, you will participate in a CrossFit style workout. You will get sweaty and you will have fun. Once you are competent in the movements we use daily in CrossFit you may graduate to our regular CrossFit classes and get the full CrossFit IronBorn experience!


No prior CrossFit experience required, this is great for beginners who want to learn and progress.
